You can start earning without investing money; but you definitely need to invest time and effort.
The first step is to believe in yourself and to make others believe in you.

You can make money like no tomorrow. When you find this interesting and good, please don't forget to come back and comment. We value your input. Also share this page with your friends. They can benefit too.

Reading this guide would take more than 15 minutes. Once you have gone through it, you can start earning as early as within an hour. How much could you earn is up to you. Be patient and start reading. Now come on; its free...

First things first. Be planful. If you don't have a plan, you might either be lucky to succeed or someone else is backing you and you don't know it. Plan your success. What do you want to do? I want to earn as much as possible. Most people don't realize that each and every single thing begins in a smaller step.

Before starting to attempt any work, first plan how you are going to achieve your target. The most important thing is to understand what skill or skill set do you have? Don't under estimate yourself. Every single one on this planet has a skill that others don't. Believe in yourself.

You can achieve both by analyzing and cataloging your own properties. In Freelancer, your profile page is where you build up the foundation. Please don't dream about a skyscraper when you think building up a foundation is a waste of time.

Upload a recently taken photo of you. Do you want to have some iconic image that makes you stand alone from all the other competitors? That is fine too. Choose something descriptive. Every single thing about you must be inspiring. I would suggest that you take a photo for this purpose, and upload it. Think about what kind of a photo would you consider serious and professional, then take something like that.

Choose a username that makes sense, and is meaningful. If you want to go by your own name, that would be the best. That identifies you to the site as a legitimate employee. Your activities on the site have to be legitimate, and providing with your own name as username is the top of those activities.

To the top right hand corner of the page, you will see a bar showing how much percent complete your profile is. Keep that in mind. As your profile gets completed, you get better ranking. There is a leveling system in the site that adds you experience points (XPs) and as you complete objectives and prove worthy, your level increases and it is definitely beneficial. There are up to 20 levels. You will start at level one. Watch your level grow as you perform through the site.

Write those little descriptions above you right under your username. Remember, people search for freelancers by keywords. Think about the best words that can describe your skills, abilities and services. Make use of the facility to make it a killer; write a killer description about you. If you are not good at writing, then ask a friend to write for you and make sure that it looks professional.

Provide with the email address that you use regularly. Provide with a skrill account for your payment options. This will verify your payment method.

Below your profile picture there is a rate for hour. This is to show the employers that will hire you. Make sure that you place some less rate for the beginning. Start with $2 per hour. You can edit this any time you want.

Below are a few tabs. The "Overview" and "Feedback" tabs will be completed by the site as you progress in the site.

Your concentration should be in the other tabs. Select the "Portfolio" tab and fill in all what you can. Upload an inspirational image. Upload samples of your work. Have no samples? Well, then make some samples. If you are a writer, write something specifically on a few subjects; if you are a programmer, write a few small programs, if you are a web designer, make a design; if you are a graphics designer, design some graphics and upload them. You can upload only a certain amount of files as you start.

Go to the "Resume" tab next. It is very important to provide actual and catchy information here. The summary should be short and sweet. When an employer reads the summary, they should want to contact you for proposals.

IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANY OF THESE, WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU PAUSE READING AND GO TO THE SITE AND START DOING THINGS. If you do everything as you read them here, your chances of success are very high.

Enter your experience. If you think your jobs were not significant, then you are making a mistake. You are who you are because of what you are good at doing. Please go ahead and fill in what experiences you have. The education part is more significant for writers as the employers want to see what is your understanding upon various subject matters.

Fill in any certificates that you have received. Also fill in any publications you have published. You have a blog post that you think is good? Don't miss it. Write it down clearly that it is something that you published in blogger. It does not hurt to tell the truth.

Then select the exams and skills. We are not telling you to spend awful dollars to take these exams. There are free exams in the site. The most important one is the freelancer orientation exam. It is free. Take this exam and you will understand more about the proceedings of the site. Once you have started earning, you can take exams related to your skills. When you pass an exam, an icon will display next your profile picture when you bid for a project. If you are a professional, then spend $5 to take a level one exam on your related skill. This will easily convey the message to the employers that you are worthy of hiring. The exams are not easy; they pretty much measure the knowledge better.

Next is the skills section. Enter the type of skills you have. As a free member, you can enter 20 different skills. This means that you are telling the employer that you are capable of doing whatever you are saying are you skillful at. "Other awards" section will come later in our journey.

The badges tab will have the badges you earned. This is some sort of rewarding program by the site.

Now we are done with the first step. Before going to the second step, please double check if you have done all what you needed to. In the middle of the processes, you will be asked to invite your friends. Don't suggest something that you are not sure about to your friends. You can do it, but later; not on the day one.

Next step is capitalize your opportunities by being in the right place at the right time.

How to get freelance projects to earn money?

There are millions of members. There are hundreds of thousands of employers posting hundreds and thousands of jobs each month. There are literally a few thousand jobs posted every day to hire people like you. You have to find out which ones are the best projects for you and which ones have the most probability to get hired. Since you are new freelancer, the employers will not see any rating on your profile. Since they don't know you, no one is forced to trust you. So the higher paying projects are not the ideal ones for new employees.

At the top of the page you can see different tabs. Select the "Browse Projects" tab and select the "Browse categories" in the menu displayed. You will be taken to a page with thousand of project categories. This is where you have to select which category suits you well. There are Websites, IT & Software; Mobile Phones & Computing; Writing and Content;  Design, Media & Architecture; Data Entry & Admin; Engineering & Sciences; Product Sourcing & Manufacturing; Sales & Marketing; Business, Accounting Human Resources & Legal; Translation & Languages; Local Jobs & Trades and Other as the main categories. Then there are hundreds of sub categories.

Don't be hasty. Take your time to go through the names of all the categories. You don't want to be distracted by the first one you look at. Check everything and then click on the one that best suits you. You will be taken to the project listing page.

There you can see the projects listed in chronological order. You can click on any project title to get to the project page. This is where it gets important. Look for the low cost projects. Don't go for the ones that are thousands of dollars worth. Stay below a hundred dollars. This is because you only have 10 bids per month as a free member. You cannot bid more than 10 projects for free. There is a way to getting more bids for free that we will explain later in this guide.

In the project page, look for the ratings of the employer. If the ratings of the employer is bad or in the worst case the employer does not have any feedback, then please don't go there. When mouse over the 5 star rating, you will see a description about the employer in a rating style. You can see how many projects the employer has posted and how many completed, how many were provided with feedback and most importantly, if the employer pays or not.

This world is not new to cheaters. You don't create the chance for someone to cheat you.

Also check if the employer mentions something like "New comers are welcome". This means, they want some cheap job, so that they are looking for newbies. This is the best chance for you to complete a job and earn a feedback. Once you have gained a feedback, then your earnings will rise. It is the first job that is difficult to find and complete. But never start the wrong way.

When you are satisfied with the rating of the employer and have read the project description completely, then click on the "bid on this project" button. You will be taken to the bidding page. There, type in the minimum of amount you can afford this project at. Then click bid. You will then be asked to submit a proposal. Don't panic. It is nothing more than a greeting and a few lines where you say that you like to work in that project.

Write some good words. Start with "Dear Sir/Madam". That tells the employer that you are a serious and professional person looking for real job. Write in short that;

  1. why you can do this
  2. how you are suitable
  3. you are okay with the pay rate
  4. you are available online mostly
  5. willing to work as per terms
  6. thanking the employer for considering your bid
  7. mentioning that even if you were offline, you would come back within 10 minutes of message

Never ever

  1. accept to get paid outside the site
  2. share contact information before a project is awarded

This is it!

Click submit proposal.

You will be automatically taken back to the project page where you can see the list of people that have bid on the project. Since you are new, you will not have any points or ranks. You can see a few people with five star ratings and different levels of points. Don't be upset. Be cool. Most employers contact the bidders within 3-4 hours from bidding. You patience will payoff. Be online in freelancer for 3 to 4 hours until the employer contacts you. If they don't bother. Edit settings to receive an email if the employer has sent you a message. Hover over your profile picture at the top right corner of any page, select "Edit settings"; in the settings page, scroll down until you see "Individual Notifications". Under the title, switch the button on for "you receive a private message". This will send you an email to the email address you provided when an employer tries to contact you.

Once contacted, you can then discuss with the employer.

Don't make these mistakes. Once the employer is satisfied to select you, he/she will award the project to you. You will receive a notification. When you go to the project page, you will see that the project has been awarded to you. You have to click the "accept" button to start working.

How do I get paid in online jobs?

Okay, now you have entered the job. You can request for a milestone payment. A milestone payment is an amount allocated to you through the site so that you can happily start working; the money will be released to your account when your work is complete. If the employer is good enough, you don't need to ask for milestone payments; they will make it.

Once you receive the payments to your account, you can see it on top of the screen and in your financial dashboard. When you reach $30, you can transfer the money to your Skrill account. We recommend that you transfer the first $30 as soon as possible because the first transaction takes two weeks to process just to make sure that the transaction is safe. After the first time, it will be 2 to 3 days to transfer.

There are other options for transferring money but with conditions and fees. Transfer to Skrill; that is the best way to start with.

How to improve my online earning experience?

Well, never stop trying. Keep on bidding on more projects. Keep on doing a good job. You can access your rewards. Your experience points could be used to purchase a reward that will give you additional bids per month. To do this, you first need to earn experience points. As you perform through the site, you will get more experience points. Why never accept payment outside the site? because whatever is paid in the site will be assessed as earned and will increase your ranking points. If you received a $100 outside the site, you are losing your opportunity to increase your points and stand to at biddings.

You can also buy exams for experience points. An exam worth of $5 or $10 could be bought with experience points. You can buy a reward in the credit shop and then activate it and then use it.

Thank you and best wishes...!
